Job Summary :

Pullus Africa is leveraging on data-driven technology to connect poultry farmers to affordable finance, better markets, advisory services, global best practices and quality inputs.

Role Purpose
  • The Project Manager will oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the company’s projects.
  • The role ensures timely delivery of objectives, effective coordination of partners and stakeholders, efficient use of resources, and compliance with company and partner requirements.
  • The Project Manager will champion high-quality execution to drive measurable impacts for smallholder poultry farmers.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead project planning, execution, and closure for both projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop detailed implementation work plans and schedules in consultation with internal teams and partners.
  • Work across functional teams (extension, finance, M&E, procurement, logistics) to achieve deliverables.
  • Engage and manage relationships with partners, donors, government agencies, farmer groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with partner guidelines, contractual obligations, and company policies.
  • Oversee risk management processes, proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges.
  • Supervise and mentor project staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Monitor project activities, track KPIs, evaluate progress, and prepare timely, high-quality reports for management and donors.
  • Support budget management, forecasting, and financial controls to ensure responsible use of funds.
  • Facilitate regular project review meetings, learning sessions, and donor visits.
  • Represent the organization in relevant external forums and stakeholder engagements related to poultry development.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Project Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in the agricultural or poultry value chain sectors.
  • Proven track record in donor-funded project implementation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management, work plan development, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management software is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within project locations.
